With a price tag of $80 prime time Station Creek
south course is pretty good value. At the top end of the "A" rating
scale you get full use of the practice facilities which means
all the range balls you can hit.

The difficulty for this course was fair as the length wasn't too long,
the greens weren't too fast and the fairways were pretty
wide. This course is a good track if your not quite on your
game or don't have tons of money to drop. A "B" rating is
right for this area.
There are definitely a few
really nice, scenic holes at Station Creek but overall only about half of
the holes have any real appeal. Don't be fooled by my pictures, this
course is only about a B rating for scenery.
The green conditions were good. They were smooth and true but a little
slow. It could been due to the greens being a little wet as the greens
were very receptive to the point it felt like you were throwing darts
out there. I'd have to give the greens an A rating as there were in
great condition and there wasn't any noticeable patchiness.
Fairway conditions were fairly good. The cut wasn't too short but we
got pretty good roll. There were areas with a fair amount of unfixed
divots here and there mainly due to the hacker/whacker type players
that frequent the course. I think a B rating for these fairways is
appropriate.
The clubhouse at Station Creek South Course was just shy of A+ in my
opinion. They have everything I like to see in a clubhouse, Bar,
Restaurant, Locker Room, Pro shop and banquet facilities however the
Restaurant was a little small and it didn't really have a wow factor.
My rating is an A rating.
The layout was good at times and then fairly weak at times.
I really don't like how the 16th hole finishes at the clubhouse an then
you go back out for the last two holes.
As for the hole by hole layout, there were more than a few less than
impressive holes. I have to rate this course layout at a low B rating.
I don't think it warrants a C rating but it is probably close.
Station Creek is a Club Link Ontario Course found just north of
Toronto.
