Your putting grip is a very overlooked part of a golfer's game which
is immensely important as to whether you are going to break 90 or
struggle to break 100.
Sure you can hold your putter in any odd way and sometimes get lucky.
You may even be able to put a decent round together.
However the way to get a
smooth consistent pendulum type stroke is to start with the proper grip.
The way you grip your putter should be pretty much the exact opposite from you normal
grip.
With putting you want to have a weak grip with the V's of your
hands pointing to the center of your body.
Your hands should be parallel to the face of your putter with your
palms facing each other.
This will take your wrists out of the stroke creating a more consistent
swing and feel.
Also important to putting feel is your ability to maintain an even,
light grip throughout the stroke.
Whether you use a right hand low or left hand low grip it's up to you.
